Okay, it’s not 2019 yet. But it will be soon enough! And the start of the new year, as a period of transition, is a great time to devote ourselves to prayer. So, we want to give you early notice that on January 14, we'll be kicking off an exciting, church-wide season of prayer called...
THE 40 DAYS OF PRAYER
Here's how it'll work: We'll provide you with a prayer booklet, both printed and electronic. Each page will include a Bible verse, along with bullet-pointed prayers and a brief reflection question, to help guide your daily prayers. (There will be a section for kids, too!) The prayers for each day will be focused on a particular topic: Gospel Identity, Church, Work/Calling, Relationships, and Neighborhood. You'll be praying individually — whenever and wherever you can — but also with the assurance that many others in our church community will be bringing the same requests to God every day!
We'll tell you more about the 40 Days of Prayer in January! But we wanted to give you advance notice now, so we can eagerly anticipate this opportunity to seek the Lord together. After all, can you imagine what God can do in and through a church family that devotes itself to focused, unified prayer for forty days?
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14)
Members will be opted in automatically with the hope that you will renew our covenant of faith with the Lord through prayer, but may opt out at the bottom of any of the emails.
