Martin Luther King, Jr. believed in a nation of freedom and justice for all – the creation of the Beloved Community through the principles of nonviolence. As one small way to honor his life and teachings, we as a Church would like to be actively engaged in service for a day "on" rather than a day "off”, by engaging in community action that continues to serve our neighbors and neighborhoods - to reflect the heart of God and His beloved community that He is forming. Join us to meet GMH and head on over to Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park from 10-2pm on January 21st for a park revitlization event. We'll be cleaning up the debris and trash and removing invasive species. This is a great event for those with children (puppies included).
Afterwards join us for lunch. If you’re interested in helping to serve, contact Vola@gracemeridianhill.org.
