“Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7
We believe in the power of planning, strategizing, and executing plans well. However, more than anything else, if we want to see our city renewed and transformed by the Gospel, our greatest asset is our ability to pray.
Prayer walks give us an opportunity to look and listen for the ways God has already been working in our neighborhood, see and understand a neighborhood’s history, to see its brokenness, its beauty and its systemic issues and gives us a fresh vision for what God desires to do.
After church on Sunday February 24th, gather on the steps of the church to receive prayer walk instructions and get paired up to walk through Petworth neighborhood in prayer.
